Built for repeated use: ADC2 aluminum and ASA construction, an ABS-shell handle and a plastic button stand up to frequent push-pull operation.
Shift and warm up: Press the neutral release, then move the lever about 35° forward or back to select gear; in neutral, use the free-accelerator button to open the throttle for starting and warm-up.
Adjust trim and tilt: Use the switch on the handle to raise or lower your outboard, and adjust the air-fuel ratio to help start the engine in cold weather.
Check the connections: You get a 1 ft/320 mm harness with a 3-pin connector, a 5.9 ft/1800 mm harness with a 2-pin connector, and a battery. Before installing, turn off the ignition, remove the key, disconnect cables and power, and measure cable length.
